Planned Maintenance Outage at CalBrass

Production Lead Time Update & Planned Maintenance Follow-Up

May 11, 2026

This is a follow-up to our recent bulletin regarding Calumet Brass Foundry’s upcoming planned maintenance outage and environmental control upgrades. While we do not yet have confirmed shutdown dates, we want to provide advance notice so customers can plan accordingly.

Lead Time Updates

Effective immediately, any new quotes — as well as orders currently quoted with standard lead times of 3–4 weeks — may require adjusted lead times of approximately 5–7 weeks ARO (After Receipt of Order). At this time, unless unforeseen issues arise, we expect to honor the due dates of all orders that have already been acknowledged. Once our final shutdown schedule is confirmed, we will communicate those dates immediately.

Emergency & Breakdown Orders

During the shutdown period, we unfortunately will not be able to cast breakdown or emergency replacement castings while production is offline. However, at this time, we are still accepting and scheduling emergency work prior to the shutdown.

If you anticipate any critical needs during this timeframe, we strongly encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss options and scheduling.

Office Operations During the Shutdown

Although production operations will pause temporarily, Calumet Brass Foundry will remain open during the shutdown period.

Our team will still be available for:

  • Quotations
  • Customer service
  • Order planning and scheduling
  • Material inquiries
  • Future production coordination

Inventory Availability

  • As always, we will continue to offer:
  • A wide range of overcast parts
  • Available bar stock inventory
  • Cut-to-size material for immediate pickup

During the Shutdown

We Can:

  • Process quotes and inquiries
  • Schedule future production
  • Assist with planning and lead times
  • Supply available overcast inventory
  • Cut and prepare available bar stock for pickup

We Can’t:

  • Produce new castings during the shutdown
  • Process breakdown casting orders while production is offline
  • Run normal foundry production operations until the shutdown is complete

Thank you again for your understanding and continued partnership. It is our goal to have this go as smoothly as possible with as little disruption to your production workflow.

Calumet Brass Foundry – Scheduled Maintenance Update

April 27, 2026

At Calumet Brass Foundry, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards in both production performance and operational responsibility.

As part of that commitment, we will be completing a planned upgrade to our baghouse systems and environmental controls. This work is designed to improve efficiency, strengthen process reliability, and further reduce our environmental impact.

To complete these upgrades, we will be pausing production for approximately one week, with the shutdown scheduled to take place between late May and/or sometime in June. Final dates will be confirmed shortly.

This is a proactive investment in our facility to ensure we continue delivering the level of quality and turnaround our customers expect—while also meeting evolving environmental standards across our industry.

What This Means for You

If you have projects that may fall within this timeframe, we recommend reaching out now so we can plan accordingly.

  • Advance Scheduling: We can prioritize and complete orders ahead of the shutdown, where possible
  • Post-Shutdown Planning: We are also scheduling production immediately following the restart

Our team will work directly with you to ensure continuity and minimize any disruption.

Let’s Plan Ahead

If you have upcoming needs or time-sensitive projects, please contact us as soon as possible so we can secure your place in the production schedule.

Thank you for your continued trust in Calumet Brass Foundry.

We appreciate your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your operations.
