In 1906, the Dolan family made a decision that would shape four generations of family, countless customers, and an entire industry: they purchased an existing foundry and renamed it Calumet (after the ceremonial Calumet peace pipe of Native American culture) Brass Foundry. Starting off as a two-man operation on Chicago’s south side, Calumet Brass Foundry has been passed from generation to generation in the Dolan family, increasing capabilities to support our customers’ needs.

LARGE CAPACITY

Calumet’s sand casting services support up to 2,800 lbs. of most copper-based metals and up to 800 lbs. of aluminum.

STANDARD-SETTING DELIVERY TIMES

Calumet specializes in making the impossible happen, from the smallest bearings and gears to 2,800 lb. castings shipped within 24-48 hours of ordering.

Cathy acquired the business in 1995, making her the fourth generation of ownership since the family purchased an existing foundry in 1906. She has over 30 years of experience and is familiar with every aspect of the foundry business. Cathy focuses primarily on Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.

Peter Cook

Peter Cook

General Manager

Peter brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in all areas of foundry operations. As the head of Production, he oversees quality control, safety, and on-time delivery while leading the entire shop team with integrity and skill. Peter has performed every job in the foundry and now plays a key role in both Business Development and Sales.

Lisa McGee

Inside Sales/Customer Service

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Lisa manages all inside sales and customer service at Calumet Brass. She processes incoming orders, tracks them through every step of production, and serves as the main point of contact for customers — ensuring clear communication and reliable follow-through from start to finish.
Hannah Bauer

Hannah Bauer

Office Manager

As the fifth-generation member of the Calumet Brass Foundry family, Hannah manages Accounting, Office Operations, Shipping and Receiving, and Quality Control documentation. A key liaison for customer service, she brings a lifetime of exposure to the foundry business and a deep commitment to its future. After completing her education, Hannah chose to carry forward the family legacy.
